worst field trip ever

I regret going to the napa file trip...the back people really spoiled everyone's mood..
So noisy and irritating! everybody were so pissed off with them..and to make it worse..i got the sit in front of them..wth.
and the trip wasnt that much fun either..I got a lil bit tipsy during my first tasting wine already..and all my friends were like taking the drinks away from me..And the lunch I have to admit...Sucks! just a burger! im not FULL!

and I reached home like around 8! It was so late already and I felt like not going to the restaurant to eat anymore because it takes up energy to walk again...Luckily when i got home..my sis willing to cook for me..
haiya..

I promise this will be the l ast field trip ever in this school. Bloodyhell

Seeded twist and Pane Sicialiano [Semolina bread]

Today was crazy for everyone. They were making me do the danish dance in kitchen..
because yesterday I told people [ Erika, Indra,Den,Ignacia,Jenine] about if I get Amy for my next rotation group in DANISH then..I will be dead..and they i told them: " Because danish need a lot of movement right.you have to roll it really hard and then a lot of energy needed. So her odors will be like everywhere." Then, they were all started laughing.. and then I came up with the danish dance for her and it was funny and lame..and then they were laughing really2 hard..and yesterday chef was like
"what's happening here? whay are you all giggling and laughing?" and Ignacia was telling her
"probably because of the bread..happy bread." and then Chef holy was laughing..HAHAHA.
then she said : "No more yeast for you sutris and Den."
HAHAHA..because yeast contains alcohol and we need that for making bread..and we ate like a lot of bread in class that why she was thinking like that..but i know she was palying around with us too..she kept on laughing with us too..funny and cool chef.

and then today was even crazy. When i was doing something in the middle, Alberto, Erika, Indra and others were gathering around at the back talking about smtgh..I didnt know they were talking about the danish dance..and Alberto was like
"Hey Yana! where is yana! come here!" Then I came to them..wondering why.."Show me the danish dance"
I was hestitating at first but since he insisted, I did my funny actions..and they were laughing really hard...crazy bunch of people..I was like the clown who make them laugh...and then Chef was laughing too..but she didnt know what we were laughing about...Then..karen came to us..just when I was about to open the walk-in cooler, karen told me to do the action again...then i was like OKAy! Chef saw me this time and she saw me..she was laughing really really hard..she said Im hyper active. Then she said " Sutris is very cute"..Everyone heard it then they said cute crazy girl. I was really embarassed..
Then..Christie was like shouting at far back...YANA show me the dance...then I was like NO MOREEEE! HAHAHAHAHA

earlier I got cut in my thumb and chef was like "what did you do sweetie?" Then I told her I accidentally got into the mixing gear...and she was slowly putting the ointment on my thumb, rub alcohol on it and putting the band aid around my thumb..I was really shocked though..cos she is just so motherly and kind..But she didnt do it on other students..It is really strange.
Then I told her..my bread is ugly and she said its not..its just too wet. I was relieved! I got A for the ballons productions..YUhu!!! Then When Hanny came to her " Chef...look I made a shopping bag!"
she was like "OH how nice! who teach you?" and then hanny told her "Yana"...and she said.."Sutris is beautiful"
and then she came to me..."do you want me to call you sutris or yana? because I know there has been Yana here and there in this class." and then I told her "you can call me sutris. special" and then everyone laughed.

Oh yeah..I think it is the curse..because of me doing the danish dance...I got Amy and Brittany tomorrow for the foccacia productions..when chef turned the whitebpard around, everyone started giggling and making evil smile at me..I know they smiled because I get to work with Amy..they were like Good LUCk with her odor..HAHHA..MANn....she really smells..I think I will stuck my nose with the flu stick tomorrow...haiya...and when chef finished talking about the group already, everyone was like..."Good LUCk tomorrow okay! HAHAHa.." [what an evil laugh]
I know im suppose to have Erika and Indra for the Focaccia..because yesterday when I went to chef's table, i saw my name den and Erika Indra with a letter F surrounded with a square meaning Focaccia..I guess chef shuffle our names again.
Tomorrow going to be a lecture about baking pencentage..chef told us to bring in caffeine and a lot of sugar to make us stay awake..haizzz.......i hate lecture..so sleepy. But thinking of working with Amy is even hell..i think everyone will start giggling at me when I start my foccacia with her..wth

wednesday

Its been two days I didnt go down to the school cafetaria cos of the busy things i have to do in kitchen today..
Everybody was leaving for the cafetaria except for me patricia and christian..and when they go up..they were telling me the food wasnt good..HAHAHA..told Ya! I would better eat my own hot fresh baked bread in kitchen...And i got a lot to choose from too..
focaccia, danish, ballons and levains..well..I like focaccia the most..especially christie's one..Its garlic..
Hahaha..I cant wait for my focaccia group turn now..I get to top it with anything..maybe garlic and cheese would be nice...
And students and chefs from other class kept coming to pur class to to steal some of our finished baked breads..so annoying..

Katie told denieza we made a good toppings for the ballons today..well I did garlic anc cheese for the topping today..no wonder it is good...hahaha..I luv breads more than cakes now..it is jut more fun compared with the cakes class..I guess because in cakes class..we made everything the same...like for example...tiramisu for all today and then tomorrow blackforest cake...
Unlike in breads, we get different groups making different doughs..and i feel we are more like a family now in breads class...because of people keep asking people..like the danish group today they kept asking what do you want for the danish filling...and i said rasberry jam..yah..the fun thing is we can request what we want and make them bake for us...
and in return..I ask them what do they want for my ballons toppings...Rachelle requested just sesame seeds on top and christie requested honey with brown sugar..and everyone loves it even amy..

for check offs, Chef kept praising our doughs today..she said they have a beautiful texture and shapes. even the project breads too...I cant believe the jalapeno cheddar rolls are good..I finished a lot of them in class today..

So today's menu is Jalapeno cheddar cheese and Whole oat roll with my everyday different toppings ballons..huhuhuhu
kind of sad tomorrow is my last day making the ballons..and after that I dont get to do them anymore...Cherish my last moments with my own ballons tomorrow! hehehe

second day of productions

Hello again

Today seems to be a really long and tiring day for everyone..
I mixed the ballons dough today...and it was not that easy..In fact i made a lot of things today..
honey wheat bread and pullman bread..preform and forming it was really crazy..and proofing them is really tiring too..
But when i get the check off from chef..i was so happy..Another two more days to go and then I will switch productions..
I hope I dont get the danish..im just not ready for it yet..it is the hardest and time consuming among all...

Christie made garlic focaccia today...It was so bloodyhell good...and then I requested her to make more and the same topping for tomorrow..and she promised me ...HAHA...well..i made her just sugar for the ballons toppings...and i think she is happy...
hahaha..Cant think of any nice topping for the ballons today..so i just put in everything that everything has in the rack..
from cinnamon to cheddar cheese..save me from trouble of thinking...and furthermore i still has a lot of things to do unlike yesterday i dont have to make the hiney wheat and forming it...today is yeah..much more crazier than yesterday.

Tomorrow is going to be denieza's turn mixing the ballons dough..we will be changing alternately everyday..
Not to forget too...we still have to make the project breads again tomorrow...the Jalapeno cheddar rolls and whole oat bread..
MAN...breads everyday..I really love breads..but now that I get to eat them every day im getting sick of them already..
Like the next culinary class beside us..they always make desserts for our class...they made creme brulle today and I think they made like chocolate mousse and somthing else for our class..yesterday they have like fruits for us too..but not today..

I dont know why but Denieza kept telling she doesnt like Patricia...Well..I admitted that she is selfish..so what?
She kept telling me that she doesnt like our groups and the grouping we got with patricia and christian for this week..
she said christian is too slow and patricia was like so selfish...yeah i admitted she is shelfish but...I dont really care..She seems fine to me..Denieza kept to not talk to her..and she doesnt willing to help patricia when she is done shaping our ballons breads..I was like seeing her alone with christian not coming today she seemed like lack of hands shaping her ballons..and so I helped her..nobody want to help her and I kind of feel sorry for her...and then Den was like...
"why are you helping her? she doesnt even say thank you. Thats why I dont help her."
I dont expect a thank you from people whom i helped...one word of 'thank you' doesnt even carry a value to me..I just dont understand why some people..their pride is much more important..I mean..I have problems with patricia too...like how she is so bossy to me and shelfish keeping scale to her own, but...what can I do? everybody is different..and no one is perfect..I mean let's just face it! she wants me to hate her too...and doesnt want me to help her? That is being even more shelfish..she hates people..its like bullying and making herself angry and patricia doesnt even know she is angry..so why bother?Try loving each other then you wont get pissed off with her right...and she kept saying christian is slow...well..everybody is different..
and like my dad say
"Kalo ubi ditanam di mana aja dia pasti numbuh"...so...we have to adapt in everywhere we are in...cant she just bear for another two more days..after that we are going to switch grp again..

She thinks she is perfect..well..if she wants to bad about people..she is not that great either..she is really bossy to me..
hey do this and that! yeah...whatever..I just bear my anger. Like today when after i kneaded the honey wheat, im supposed to have tray with sprayed parchment paper on top, she didnt get it for me...But if she is the one who kneaded the wheat today and if I didnt get the tray yet..she will be like mad saying im slow...Eaerlier when i asked her "you didnt get the tray for me?"
I wanna get angry but i didnt..it will not solve the problem. She is too sensitive..just when I asked her if she prepared the Mis En Place for tomorrow's ballons already..she was like making face expressions..saying "YEAH!" as if telling me.."you think im like you slow?" I just dont like it when she order me this and that..complaining everyday bout our group wont help...so learn to love them..HELP them..but she told me she would rather help the others than helping patricia..man..her ego is just too high...Well..I dont care if i hate patricia..even if i hate her..I will still help her. And then during breaks and after class she start making a fuss telling people how patricia did this and that today...Well I just kept quiet..cos..you talk bad about people..no one knows people are just talking bad about you too..and Im not perfect either..so I dont have the right to say bad things about her..

She used to say katie this and that..proud and blablabla...But from my opinion..katie does has a really braggy and proud look..But i guess that the way she is..she say katie look at her cake as if it is ugly blablabla...I think katie is always like that..
she seems perfectly fine to me..I notice thats just the way she look at people and things around her..im just so tired of everything..enough about today..
Im going to sleep any sooner. Pray for patricia that she doesnt get to be gossiped again like today and yesterday..I just feel so sorry for her..haizzz

production day

So..today early in the morning we are given the competencies of the requirements we have to do in bread class in order to pass that class..we have productions breads which means thats breads is a must bake to have that class pass...
the production breads are :
1. Baquette
2. Danish
3. Ballons
4. Levains
5. Focaccia

So what chef made us do is that..she will be rotating us every week..So last week I had indra and erika as my group and today I had patricia and Christian as a group..the left right corner bench is baquette's group, and the left bottom corner will be doing the danish, following the top left corner are the ballons group which is us today and the right top corner is levains people following with the top would be the focaccia group. She said we will have the same group for 4 days and then she will change again after that..same goes with the breads..ballons for 4 days and then Done! baquette for 4 days and then graded.. After finish making all those breads above, we will be making our projects breads..which is what we will be making everyday after we finish doing our production breads and Mis En Place for the next day..Talking about Mis En Place..the thing I like about this chef is that..she made us prepare our Mis En Place onde day before we come to class...unlike in cake class, what we will be making today we have to do the mis en place first...so it's like so rush.


Making the ballons is fun today...I like dividing the dough into pieces using the machine..so FUN...and of course putting and choosing the topping for the ballons is too much fun to do..Chef never cares what we want to add for the topping..HAHAHA
So I grabbed basil, cinamon sugar, chili corn pepper, herbs everything that has in the spices rack...i grabbed them all and placed them on my table...that case I just have to choose which one i want to use for the ballons toppings...
I have like 5 trays of ballons...so what i did was...half of the ballons I topped with cheese and paprika...which then i called chilli corn ballons..and then the other half i topped it with cinammon sugar...HAHAHA..the others are just plain..and some of them I made them topped into just cheese for the topping...so FUN...
I wonder what I wanna add for the topping tomorrow...Christie requested ealier in class that tomorrow..she wants to have ballons with just granulated sugar for the topping...I was like...Oh sure..I will bake them for you..5 dollars. Hahahaha.
Our class is so much fun..We exchanged things we make today..LIke earlier, christie gave me their focaccia masterpiece..and then I gave people my ballons too..Baquettes and levains are jjust too common..guess because they dont have toppings...and they dont get to be topped..and they are plain breads...many people are just sick of eating it...cos last week we were all like eating and baking baquettes and levains everyday..and we ate them everyday too..Thats why when Alberto was aking people
"who want to have my levains?" everybody was just ignoring him saying no...cos we had too much levains already last week.
HHAHAHA...but for focaccia and ballons they are different..They get to be topped...Im so happy i get to make them again tomorrow until thursday...and then on friday we will be changing our production breads and group again...
AHHAAHA..making the danish is time consuming...im scared though..in fact it is the hardest one among all..

Guess thats it for today...I had my fun in kitchen..so happy..I hope tomorrow will be even better..cos tomorrow i will be the one who mix the ballons dough..HAHAHAå

- what hv u been thinking lately??hm...I guess my I-20..I havnt receive my stupid I-20 until now..and my graduation is only 5 months from now..MAN!

why does it disturb you?
-im really worried if later in the immigration, they will ask for it when I got bck to singapore for good.

is it gonna affected you that much?
-Of course! I have been waiting for it since long..I wonder what the hell does the immigration here do..They took so long just to change the visa status...

do you like tomatoes?
-YA! very much...you eat it with bread and egg with tomatoes in between..so yummy...especially if you blend the tomatoes to make them juices just like my mummy always did back when I was in singapore every weekend...Not to forget, eating tomatoes with sugar is always Good TOO! hahahaha..

have you been in a good relationship?
-relationship with who do you mean? I have always been in a good relationship with anyone..especially my family and friends...HAHAHA!

-...hm..good guestion! I guess im too bored..and frustrated thinking of the busy class again tomorrow..breads again..

Deep-fried mochi,Syoga,Chicken Bun,Siew mays, California Rolls, Nigiri, Mango mochi, and a little bit of trying here and there..

Thats what I ate along the cherry blossom road...

Later on, MIfune restaurant..I ate Udon with California rolls..and moving on again for dessert, I had geisha float.

Next my friends suggested we shld take a walk around the japan town area..as we walked..we cant resist of the food around us..
yah we felt bloated..but we just cant resist..So we bought something to eat again.

Green tea pudding,Green tea ice cream, Tofu and chicken karagee..

I felt guilty after eating all that when i got home..and my stomach still grumbles now..
I shld go on a diet.

Something to know...

First week done in bread class!

Hey finally first week of bread class is over..
5 more weeks to go!!
Even though it is only the first week, It seems like so long..Baquettes, Levains, Danish, Butter braids..alternately rotating doing the beads...
I still not sure of the proofing bread and baking it...but i know how to make it.

Today is really crazy..I laughed a lot in class today..probably because of the group we have..
This week We have erika and indra for our group. MAn..they kept making jokes.
Like earlier, they talked about how they dont want to be group with katie and Amy next week on monday.
They said if they get Amy, they will buy a mask so they wont smell her odor and they will wear sunglasses so they dont see her..
thats mean..but FUnny. We kept laughing at the cafetaria..AHAHAAHA
And even when we were doing the danish Icing too, indra told us
"Hey take your time.."
"WHY?"
"[making eye expressions pointing at the back]"
And then what we saw was...katie standing at the back waiting for the piping back. WE were then laughing hard..
Jenine was like..."Im next"

HAHAHAHA. This week is crazy. We are the loudest group ever in that class. But I like our team work the 6 of us on that table really cooperate well with one another..And we make jokes all the time too..We dont get bored..
Jenine used to say YANA is a nice person..dont say she is mean..
and now she is like...Yana is a mean person..in a joking way of course..she said she was surprised I can be loud too..
HAUHAUHAUHAUA.

I wonder who we will get for the groups on Monday..
I hope not Amy..cos she will talk non-stop

Bossy!!

What is wrong with stupid blogger? I wrote so long already yet it didnt show up! MAN!

I ll just keep it short.So i need to update for a little bit...
I had passed my cake class and now im moving on to my bread class...
We made baquette yesterday and focaccia bread today..

Well..everyone was like so hungry when we got our breads out from the oven...and excited as well...it's like
"Wow..I make those breads"

I dont really like my partner..just because she is bossy...she is nice outside but not when she is in the kitchen..
earlier when i was mixing our dough.. she was like:"Dont do that! scrape the sides!"
and everyone was looking at me..because she is so bossy...she ordered me around getting this and that..
Well..i Dont mind if she wants me to get things but cant she at least say in a nicer way?
instead of "get the tray." cant she at least say.."can you get the tray?"
At least it sounded a lot better...and when cleaning the table too.." Hey clean the table.."
Well..I already did...she was the one who walked around doing nothing.

And earlier too..when before going home we are always assigned for our cleaning up duties...and She, Chrstie and me got the mopping jobs..and when we were done cleaning the floor, she was supposed to dump the dirty water into the sink..but instead of doing that, she told me to do it..Well..its okay if i do it...but the way she told me is too demanding..
"Yana! Dump the water!" In my heart i was like,.." isnt it suppose to be your job?"

But I dont wanna pick a fight with her so I just follow everything she say...the basket water is just too heavy for me to carry alone...well...she noticed it..but she just asked me "can you carry it?"
I know chrstie is being sarcastic to her...and she say :" CAnt you see? Of course it is!"

MAN...can she please stop being that bossy. And earlier too...when were preparing our mis en place for tomorrow's baquette,
it is written on the board..it's 6.5 lb bread flour...yah..its a lot..
But she got a piece of parchment paper and she wrote on top of it with a mrker "6.5 lb bread flour" and she told me to scale it....Obviously the flour wont fit into the parchment paper right..so I went over to the rack to get a big bowl...and when i came back...she was like
"What are you doing? NO! dnt use bowl! we are suppose to use parchment paper."
"It wont fit into the parchment..it is 6.5 pound.."
"Then divide it by two!"...Okay whatever...I listened her..

But later she was like seeing eveybody using a big bowl..then she told me to use the big bowl...
HELLOE...From the first start...IT is already common Sense..How can the flour fit into the piece of paper..BUT STILL she argued!...

I approached in MSN today saying about her bossyness.but instead of knowing her wrongs, she told me Im the bossy One..
yeah whatever..she is the bossy one..Im just a stupid idiot who always listen to you when you are wrong.She is always right...MAN...no matter what i say...is always wrong..
Earlier too..during chef's demo, i saw chef putting in salt first, then the sugar, and the olive oil last..but she insisted..
"put the sugar first..not the salt.."
then I told her.."NO. i saw chef putting salt first..not the sugar.."
She looked kind of pissed of saying :"Okay whatever! do what you want.."
Obviouly the salt first because i was in the front when chef did the demo and she was behind. MAN...she thinks she is the clever one just because she studied culinary and stuff before...

I shld stop being nice to her..maybe smile less to her..to make her realize i dont like her attitude in the kitchen..
but when she is outside...she is really different.

MAN...pray for me tomorrow will not be a hard day..and her not being so bossy!

Even when i tell my maid to get stuffs, I would still say "please" get me this and that...what more her?? She thinks im her slave?thats rude...even slave too..I dont treat slave like that..Well..i dont know about her if she treats slave like that..
If she does...that explains all.
